The event was a success! We are truly grateful for Jack Koumbis, our guest chef who donated the delicious viands, and Karine Abrahamyan, a good friend and supervisor of Karina’s Cuchina at Bloomingdale’s at Riverside Square, who donated an assortment of sodas and water. Another special thanks goes to the church Sunday School children. They were in this charity fundraiser for the Myanmar Mission and Myanmar Orphanage Project right from the beginning by making colorful signs and then helping to serve the donated food.
Sophie Stone, who lead the whole event, reports that she hopes to be able to donate at least $2,000.00 to the charities. Thank you to all the people who came out to support us, as well as those who couldn’t come but still donated. Several people who were not able to attend have offered to send in donations.
